[Concert Review] Sabroso Taco Festival (2018)

A “taco festival” with only one vendor dedicated to tacos? Excelling in gluttony should be a priority for Sabroso Taco Festival, like noteworthy food festival Bite of Seattle, if they intend to overtake retiring punk rock festival Warped Tour. If music festivals are declining in ticket sales in the United States, new and remaining festivals need more diverse content enticing wider audiences that might otherwise only be moderately interested in music. Sabroso is nearly there.

[Sober Living] Concerts Are Risky

WAC 314.11.015 3(g) often causes me to choose reclusion. I am fed up with this! “Employees may not…” “Permit any person consuming, or who has consumed within the licensed premises, any type of marijuana, usable marijuana, or marijuana-infused products to remain on any part of the licensed premises.” While concerts are the riskiest, I’ve smelled cannabis in libraries, restaurants, buses, and everywhere in downtown Seattle. My safest route to avoid imposed psychosis is to stay home.

[Concert Review] Pain in the Grass (2017)

Seattle radio station KISW hosts an annual all-day concert festival, Pain in the Grass, at the White River Amphitheater. This year’s eclectic performers, appealing to their fanbase or appearing in their programming, included Korn, Stone Sour, BABYMETAL, The Pretty Reckless, Yelawolf, and more. This outdoor event is similar to the Warped Tour, except there’s nothing to do except listen to music, or maybe sleep out on the lawn. Were the performances worth risking a sunburn?
