Hello once again from the PAX Seattle Indies Expo 2018! When we six – led by game creator/lead programmer William, programmers Chris and Steven, marketer/writer Mike, sound/composer Dennis, and myself – weren’t talking to all you great folks out there from noon to 9 PM, we were out on the floors checking out some of the other cool new games from our peers! How did this happen? Is there a correlation between my childhood raised secondarily by videogames and my reality where much of it involves tempering my overexposure to reality to avoid finding myself in a drunken stupor? I doubt the hours I spent playing games like Mario, Final Fantasy, or EarthBound caused this. Encouraged an addictive framework? Perhaps. Spend another 10 minutes to level up, throw yourself to the mercy of inebriation, only to rinse and repeat?
Izetta: The Last Witch asks what might have happened during World War II if a witch with supernatural abilities were to suddenly appear in a country nearly annihilated by larger forces? This underdog alternate reality story piqued my interest, and though there are some major missteps, are those droppings enough to dissuade your time with the show?
