While soaking in miniature houses at the fair, observing cool LEGO sets in stores, and attending concerts, I was brainstorming ideas for “The Story” as I always do. This week’s focus was worldbuilding the Lanchester farm. Trishna was born and raised there. Unfortunately, the implications of some mild bug has taken some of my focus away, so let’s explore how John (laying “in bed”) and Trishna help each other through their sicknesses, to get healthy.

“We three have arrived. Over.” The young adventurer’s voice echoed throughout the cavernous steel room, lit only by an older adventurer’s cigar ember, with perhaps a large eye before them. “Good… …and follow this… Three, five… brown… press the small button. Over.” The third adventurer was aloof; stretching. “Gabonnet! I didn’t catch that! Please repeat. Over!” The smoke wafted over along with the voice. “Don’t worry about that, kid. We-” Bright lights illuminated the room.

If there’s a self-confidence scale ranging from humility to arrogance, I lean heavily into arrogance. I’m OK with overconfidence. Just long as we’re not belittling others while dreaming the possibilities. I’ve met dreamers that were so decisive that they’d cut out anyone that wasn’t fully on-board with their dreams. I try not to be that! I just believe that to fully realize your dreams, you must wholeheartedly believe in yourself first, before realizing any possibilities.

“Find inspiration in your work” because there are plethoric excuses for skipping exercise and most have validity. Fitness is perhaps the truest forms of work ethic. You can’t accidentally become fit. You can be born into money; you can’t be born into fitness. Earning wellness daily includes continual inspiration. When I see muscles develop, notice my increased agility, or when others ask me for fitness advice, that’s my inspiration to keep finding time to exercise!

I missed three alarms. It’s easy enough to sleep through chirping alarms when you’re tired. My backup alarm, set much later, startled me awake. Those alarms were trivial on the surface, however, you can draw analogies from that. I plant situational alarms that sound in subtle ways, so if something goes off, then it’s time for me to investigate before something worse happens. They’re like red flags so when one of those sound… “let’s investigate!”

If there’s one concept I mastered within this field, it’s being able to quickly gauge how severely a situation might impact other people, while keeping myself removed from the emotional weight of unfortunate situation. I can fully empathize that a person has lost hours of time, however, I don’t let any sympathetic emotions overwhelm me. We’re all victims of circumstances. So, if you’d rather keep complaining about situations without trying to change, don’t read below.
